Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development.
  • 7 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience in embedded software development using C/C++, with a focus on embedded systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience architecting scalable software, utilizing multi-threaded designs, and writing firmware that is portable across generations of SoCs.
  • Familiarity with one or more specialized domain technologies, including HBM, PCIe, ARM/RISC-V architectures, security and confidential computing, machine learning, or video encoding/decoding.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$365,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Set team priorities aligned with broader organizational goals. Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular coaching to develop engineering talent.
  • Develop long-term technical direction and road maps for ASIC software and firmware, anticipating future infrastructure and large-scale architectural needs.
  • Oversee the design of low-level firmware, chip software models, and debugging tools for custom accelerators, solving complex technical problems on sound architectural footing.
  • Drive technical excellence by reviewing code for accuracy, testability, and efficiency. Lead the design of the APIs, drivers, and userspace libraries for seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Collaborate across the datacenter stack to build advanced simulation infrastructure. Contribute to the full hardware lifecycle, from pre-silicon modeling and initial chip bring-up to global ASIC deployment.
