Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full stack applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and infrastructure layers
  • Develop backend services using Python (e.g., Django, Flask) and scalable API architecture (REST/GraphQL)
  • Build modern, responsive frontend applications using JavaScript frameworks (React, Node)
  • Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including microservices and serverless components
  • Partner with product, data, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead technical design decisions, ensuring performance, scalability, and security across applications
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and DevOps processes to support high-quality releases
  • Optimize system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve application reliability
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in full stack software development
  • Strong hands-on experience with:

o Python backend development
o JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with modern web architectures
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and data modeling
  • Familiarity with DevOps / infrastructure concepts:

o CI/CD pipelines
o Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
o Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, testing, and scalable architecture
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within reinsurance, insurance, or financial services
  • Familiarity with data-intensive systems, analytics platforms, or risk/underwriting systems
  • Exposure to microservices architecture, event-driven systems, or real-time data processing
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Prior experience in a technical leadership or senior-level individual contributor role
