    Location: Washington, DC 20005 - 100% onsite (no remote or hybrid)

    Employment Type: Full-time contract, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

    Position Summary

    Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring for Client a Senior SharePoint Administrator to ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, governance, and optimization of the Client's Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environment. The Senior SharePoint Administrator will lead the design, implementation, administration, and enhancement of the agency intranet, and will collaborate closely with the Client's internal IT staff, executive business management, and a third-party intranet application provider.

    This is a hands-on senior technical role. The successful candidate will own day-to-day SharePoint Online administration, drive an intranet rebuild, establish governance and change management documentation, and serve as the primary escalation point for all SharePoint-related incidents.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administration and Operations

    •      Manage day-to-day administration of the Client's SharePoint intranet site and Microsoft 365 collaboration environment.

    •      Monitor system performance, capacity, storage utilization, and platform availability.

    •      Perform site collection administration, permissions management, and content oversight.

    •      Maintain and update configuration settings, document libraries, lists, workflows, and modern pages.

    •      Coordinate the timely application of patches, updates, and service packs.

    Security and Compliance

    •      Implement and enforce governance policies covering user permissions, data retention, and content lifecycle management.

    •      Partner with IT security staff to maintain compliance with organizational and government security requirements.

    •      Support audit activities and produce compliance and access reports as required.

    Support and Troubleshooting

    •      Serve as the primary point of support for all SharePoint-related incidents and service requests.

    •      Troubleshoot issues involving performance, access and authentication, configuration, integrations, and workflows.

    •      Coordinate escalations with Microsoft Support and third-party vendors as needed.

    Development and Customization Support

    •      Design and support solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities.

    •      Support the deployment and maintenance of SharePoint solutions, site templates, and web parts.

    •      Recommend platform enhancements aligned to documented business requirements.

    Documentation and Governance

    •      Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration inventories.

    •      Establish and enforce governance policies, site provisioning processes, and naming conventions.

    •      Author standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and end-user knowledge articles.

    Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

    •      Partner with business units to capture collaboration needs and translate them into SharePoint solutions.

    •      Develop and deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions for end users and site owners.

    •      Advise stakeholders on best practices for information architecture, metadata design, and content management.

    Key Deliverables

    •      Assessment of the current SharePoint intranet site, delivered within 15 days of start and again within 30 days of the rebuilt site going live.

    •      Rebuild of the SharePoint intranet site, delivered within 30 days of start.

    •      SharePoint governance documentation, delivered within 60 days of start.

    •      Change management and configuration documentation, delivered within 60 days of start.

    •      Weekly issue resolution logs and support ticket reports once the environment is rebuilt.

    •      Weekly system health and performance reports once the environment is rebuilt.

    •      Ongoing recommendations for platform improvements and new features.


    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    Experience

    •      Five (5) or more years of hands-on SharePoint experience, including at least two (2) years at the Senior SharePoint Administrator level.

    •      Three (3) or more years supporting an enterprise or government environment.

    SharePoint Platform Expertise

    •      Hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server (2013, 2016, or 2019).

    •      Proficiency with site collections, lists and libraries, permissions, content types, workflows, and search configuration.

    •      Experience with Microsoft 365 services that integrate with SharePoint, including Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

    Infrastructure and Administration

    •      Working knowledge of SharePoint architecture, service applications, and site provisioning concepts.

    •      Ability to monitor system health, performance, and storage usage.

    •      Experience with patching, updates, and troubleshooting, particularly in on-premises environments.

    •      Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and identity and access management.

    Tools and Automation

    •      Experience using PowerShell to automate SharePoint administration tasks.

    •      Familiarity with modern SharePoint page design, site templates, and web parts.

    Security and Compliance

    •      Knowledge of governance frameworks, permissions models, and data lifecycle policies.

    •      Experience with Microsoft 365 compliance, retention, and auditing capabilities.

    •      Understanding of organizational or federal security standards in government environments.

    Professional Competencies

    •      Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    •      Excellent written and verbal communication skills for end-user support and stakeholder coordination.

    •      Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

    •      Ability to deliver work accurately, professionally, and within established timelines.

    Preferred Qualifications

    •      Experience with Viva Connections.

    •      Experience working in structured service delivery environments using ITIL or a similar framework.

    •      Prior experience supporting a District of Columbia, state, or federal government agency.

    •      Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals.

    •      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

    Work Schedule and Location

    •      Work is performed 100% onsite at the Client site in Washington, DC. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.

    •      Standard schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during core business hours.

    •      Selected candidate must successfully complete a background check prior to placement.

    •      Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
