Senior Security Engineer, Cloud Data Security

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Senior Security Engineer, Cloud Data Security job in Bethesda, MD. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the hospitality industry. In this role, you will help secure sensitive data across cloud platforms and AI-powered applications while supporting enterprise-wide data governance and compliance initiatives. To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in cloud data security, data protection technologies, and information security best practices. Preference will be given to professionals with experience supporting AI security platforms, cloud security tools, and enterprise data protection solutions.

Senior Security Engineer, Cloud Data Security job Responsibilities:

• Manage and support cloud data security solutions across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and AI-powered applications, ensuring sensitive data is protected and governed appropriately.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud security technologies including CASB, DLP, encryption, SIEM, SSO/SAML, and AI security platforms such as Zenity.
• Monitor cloud environments and enterprise AI applications, investigate security alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve cloud and AI security issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and procedures, and support cloud security architecture reviews and technology deployments.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security controls into cloud services and AI applications while driving continuous improvements to security operations and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Seven plus years of information technology experience, including three plus years in information security.
• Experience with cloud data security technologies, including DLP, CASB, encryption, and data discovery tools.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments and familiarity with cloud security frameworks and regulatory standards.
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred. Experience with AI security platforms or enterprise AI application security is a plus.
