Senior SEC Reporting Analyst
Our client, a rapidly growing AI technology company operating in a highly regulated environment, is seeking a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst to support external financial reporting and compliance activities.
Location:
Menlo Park, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days/week in the office.
Job Description:
This role will play a critical part in preparing public filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, and strengthening internal controls as the organization continues to scale. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable partnering cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation, review, and filing of periodic SEC reports, including quarterly and annual filings
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and management discussion materials
- Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Coordinate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, legal, and external auditors to support timely filings
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by responding to auditor requests and inquiries
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Assess and mitigate financial reporting risks and support internal controls over financial reporting
- Research technical accounting matters and prepare related accounting memoranda
- Maintain documentation supporting reporting conclusions and compliance requirements
- Support ad hoc financial reporting and compliance projects as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in financial reporting or SEC reporting within a public company environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience supporting the preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
