Overview:
We are seeking a talented and dynamic individual with extensive oligonucleotide experience to join our team as a Scientist/Senior Scientist. This role offers a significant opportunity to impact our science and pipeline by leading the design and synthesis of novel oligonucleotides for drug discovery programs. The successful candidate will be a technical leader, guiding a dedicated team and taking on responsibilities across the portfolio. Key requirements include:
Extensive hands-on experience in the synthesis, purification, and analytics of siRNA and/or ASO therapeutics.
In-depth knowledge of oligonucleotide/peptide therapeutics, including chemical structure search tools, synthesis techniques, purification instrumentation, and analysis methods for chemically modified oligonucleotides.
Demonstrated ability to both lead and support multiple parallel projects and thrive in highly collaborative team environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel oligonucleotides for various portfolio programs.
Provide mentorship to junior scientists in the synthesis and characterization of new oligonucleotide sequences.
Serve as a leader or active participant in cross-disciplinary discussions to ensure effective execution of portfolio programs.
Collaborate with biology and biochemistry teams to design and execute novel assays, facilitating rapid go/no-go decisions.
Take a leading role in managing all aspects of laboratory instrumentation and maintaining smooth operations.
Maintain a strong collaborative mindset and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
