Roles & Responsibilities

S/4HANA ABAP & Backend Development

  • Design and implement S/4HANA native ABAP solutions, adhering to clean core and extensibility guidelines
  • Develop using Modern ABAP:

o Object-Oriented ABAP

o Inline declarations, expressions

o ABAP SQL optimized for HANA

  • Build advanced CDS Views:

o Basic, Composite, Consumption views

o Analytical CDS with annotations

o CDS access control (DCL)

  • Implement ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP):

o Managed and unmanaged scenarios

o Behavior definitions and implementations

o Draft handling and OData V4 exposure

  • Leverage code pushdown techniques to optimize performance on SAP HANA
  • Eliminate obsolete ECC patterns and ensure S/4HANA compatibility across all custom objects

SAP Fiori & UI Development (S/4HANA Focused)

  • Design and develop SAP Fiori applications for S/4HANA using:

o SAPUI5 / OpenUI5

o Fiori Elements (List Report, Object Page, Analytical List)

  • Extend and adapt standard S/4HANA Fiori apps using key user and developer extensibility
  • Implement role based, responsive UX compliant with SAP Fiori design guidelines
  • Consume OData V4 services exposed via RAP/CDS
  • Collaborate with UX and business teams to ensure intui tive user experiences

Integration & Extensibility

  • Expose and consume whitelisted APIs and OData services per S/4HANA extensibility framework
  • Implement in app and side by side extensions aligned with clean core strategy
  • Integrate S/4HANA with SAP BTP services when required (Workflow, Integration Suite, CAP-based extensions)

S/4HANA Transformation & Optimization

  • Participate in:

o S/4HANA greenfield implementations

o System conversions and brownfield transformations

  • Refactor legacy custom code using:

  • Support continuous optimization and performance tuning on HANA

  • Provide advanced support for incidents, defects, and production issues

Generic Managerial Skills, If any

  • A Senior SAP S/4HANA ABAP & Fiori Full Stack Developer with 10+ years of SAP development experience and strong specialization in S/4HANA native development. This role focuses exclusively on S/4HANA architecture, following clean core strategy, leveraging ABAP on HANA, CDS, RAP, and SAP Fiori/UI5, and delivering high performance, scalable, and upgrade safe solutions.
  • Must act as a technical anchor for S/4HANA development initiatives, guiding modernization, quality, and best practices across the landscape.

Base Salary Range : $100,000 to $150,000 Per Annum
