Senior Sample Management Coordinator

As a Senior Sample Management Coordinator at ICON, you will oversee the collection, tracking, and management of biological samples for clinical trials.


What You Will Do:

You will lead on clinical research tasks requiring technical depth, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the collection, storage, and distribution of biological samples across clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing sample tracking systems to monitor the lifecycle of samples from collection to analysis, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure proper handling, labeling, and shipment of samples according to study protocols.
  • Providing training and guidance on sample management processes to project teams and laboratory staff.
  • Generating reports on sample management metrics, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions to maintain timelines and quality.

Your Profile:

You will have a strong foundation in clinical research, with the experience to work independently and guide others.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, laboratory management, or a related field.
  • Experience in sample management, laboratory coordination, or clinical trial operations, ideally in the clinical research or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with sample tracking systems and database management tools, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
