Job Details

Desired Background

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial automation sales, controls engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and controls integration
  • Experience with platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Siemens, Wonderware, or similar technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical engineers and executive decision makers
  • Experience selling integration projects, automation systems, or engineered solutions into industrial environments
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Industrial, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing facilities, OEMs, municipalities, and industrial clients
  • Identify opportunities involving PLC upgrades, SCADA modernization, controls integration, process optimization, and automation retrofits
  • Conduct customer discovery meetings to understand operational pain points and production goals
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop technical solutions and project estimates
  • Assist in preparing proposals, project scopes, budgets, and presentations
  • Support project kickoff and ensure smooth transition from sales to engineering execution
  • Manage territory growth through strategic business development and account expansion
  • Attend industry events, plant visits, and customer meetings throughout the region
  • Maintain CRM documentation and sales pipeline forecasting
