Senior Roadway Project Manager

Description

DRMP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to help strengthen and expand our successful roadway practice across Florida.

This role builds on established client relationships, strong delivery teams, and a growing backlog of work. We are looking for a leader who can step in and enhance our existing efforts-supporting client managers, contributing to strategic pursuits, and helping position our team for continued growth.

You will work alongside established leaders to deliver high-quality projects, pursue key opportunities, and elevate overall team performance with FDOT, municipalities, and regional transportation clients.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Support Strategic Growth

  • Partner with client managers to strengthen relationships and expand existing contracts

  • Help identify and position targeted opportunities aligned with DRMP's growth strategy

  • Contribute to pursuit planning and market positioning efforts

  • Support and help lead proposal development, Letters of Response, and interviews

  • Participate in capture planning and teaming strategies for key pursuits

  • Lead Project Delivery

  • Serve as Project Manager for complex roadway projects

  • Maintain accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality

  • Coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams

  • Mentor project managers and junior staff

  • Support a collaborative environment that builds on existing team strengths

  • Contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (PE required)
  • 15-20+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience
  • Experience managing FDOT and/or municipal roadway projects
  • Familiarity with Florida transportation market and procurement processes
  • Experience supporting proposals and client development efforts
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
