    Job Summary

    We are looking for a seasoned, experienced professional who anticipates and independently resolves financial issues by taking ownership to achieve results. He or she will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by overseeing general accounting functions, reviewing current accounting processes, and making recommendations and improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and interest in financial reporting along with a desire for consistent personal & professional development

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare periodic balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations financial statements and other financial information for internal and external use to assess and review the financial position of the company
    • Collect, analyze, and present financial information to the management team identifying risks and opportunities to aid the team in meeting their specific goals
    • Assist departments with annual budget review and preparation
    • Assist with sales, use, liquor and other state and local tax filings on a monthly basis for each restaurant and support sales & use tax audits as needed
    • Researching federal, state, and local taxation issues
    • Produce ad-hoc reports
    • Assist with all accounting aspects of the annual external audit and tax return processes and prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
    • Assist store managers and operations with accounting related inquiries
    • Responsible for continuous improvement of accounting and finance processes

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited university
    • 1-2 years progressively responsible experience in public accounting or corporate finance

    Certifications:

    • CPA or partial completion preferred
    • Must be willing and able to:
    • Work in office environment and restaurant when necessary
    • Sit for long periods
    • Use a computer for long periods
    • Freely access all areas of the Corporate Office and store offices
