The senior research assistant is affiliated with the Skills for the Future and Business Excellence group in ETS Research Institute. This role entails assisting in and contributing to skills-related research and development projects.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled senior research assistant to join our team on a research project funded by the Skills Center of the ETS Research Institute. The project focuses on the development and implementation of science-backed, AI-enabled, and scalable assessment tasks measuring high school students collaboration skills. The senior research assistant will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and a diverse group of educators and external partners to ensure project success.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate with external partners, and manage the research projects, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Research Contribution: Contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of AI-enhanced assessment tasks, working under the supervision of the PI.
Assessment Co-Design and Implementation: Collaborate with educators to co-design and implement assessment tasks for high school students, adapting solutions based on student needs and research findings.
Dissemination: Contribute to efforts to disseminate findings through publications, conference presentations, workshops, and other academic and professional venues.
Coordination with External Partners: Facilitate collaboration with external research partners, including schools, educational organizations, and technology developers, to support all aspects of the research activities.

Knowledge about durable skills and related educational or assessment solutions.
Experience with AI or technology-enhanced learning environments/assessment/feedback systems, preferably in K-12 education settings.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience working with educators, preferably in designing and implementing intervention programs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders, including educators, researchers, and technology developers.
Knowledge about framework and assessment design.
Previous experience with large-scale research projects.
Education
A masters degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, Educational Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field. Or a bachelors degree in related fields, with significant research experience
