We are seeking an experienced Sr. Reporter (Sun‑Thurs, 10am‑6pm) to join our NewYork newsroom. This is a high‑impact reporting position focused on breaking down complex stories, digging beneath official narratives, and delivering sharp, fast, unmistakably Post‑style journalism that drives the conversation in NewYork and beyond.The ideal candidate is a relentless reporter with strong sourcing instincts, comfortable building and maintaining a wide network of contacts across city government, law enforcement, courts, politics, business, and community organizations. You should know how to cultivate confidential sources, handle sensitive information responsibly, and develop reporting that goes beyond press releases and official statements. You know how to get people talking, and how to verify what they say.You will be expected to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy, turning around high quality investigative pieces on tight timelines when breaking news demands it. You should be equally comfortable chasing long‑term investigative projects and jumping into fast breaking developments, always finding the sharpest angle and the most compelling way to tell the story.This role requires a writer who can deliver the Post voice with confidence and precision. That means clear, punchy storytelling with attitude, authority and momentum, while still maintaining rigor in sourcing and fact gathering.
