Senior Remodelling Project Manager

Location:Newton, MA (On-Site; residential project locations throughout the Greater Boston area)

Tom Curren Companies is an established residential remodeling and home improvement company that has served homeowners across Metro-West and Greater Boston for nearly 40 years. As our Remodeling Division continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Senior Remodelling Project Manager to oversee residential carpentry and remodeling projects in the field. This position plays a key role in maintaining exceptional craftsmanship, protecting project profitability, and delivering an outstanding customer experience from the beginning of each project through final completion.

The Senior Remodelling Project Manager is responsible for leading residential remodeling and carpentry projects on-site and reports directly to the Vice President of Production. This role oversees job specifications, project plans, scheduling, materials, change orders, subcontractors, and client communication, ensuring each project is completed safely, profitably, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the on-site manager for residential remodeling and carpentry projects
  • Coordinate project plans, schedules, materials, subcontractors, and change orders
  • Supervise subcontracted labor to ensure quality workmanship, jobsite safety, and adherence to project timelines
  • Review and inventory materials before each job begins, coordinate deliveries, and address delays that may affect the schedule
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, quality control reviews, and client communications
  • Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and security of residential job sites through project completion
  • Manage frequent daily communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams by phone, email, and text
  • Prepare subcontractor purchase orders and agreements
  • Ensure subcontractor invoices and receipts are submitted, reviewed, and reconciled accurately
  • Manage warranty items, punch lists, and outstanding work through final resolution
  • Work closely with customer service and production teams to resolve concerns promptly and professionally
  • Understand and track how production decisions affect project costs and overall business performance
  • Attend Production team meetings and provide updates on project progress, schedules, concerns, and potential risks


Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of hands-on residential renovation or remodeling experience
  • Massachusetts CSL in good standing
  • Previous experience managing subcontractors
  • General proficiency with computers, iPads, smartphones, and related technology
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders up to 40 ft
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Ability to provide basic carpenter tools
  • Personal vehicle capable of transporting construction materials

Knowledgeable in:

  • Carpentry work from framing through finish
  • Material takeoffs and ordering
  • Demolition services
  • Installation of wood and metal doors, including hardware
  • Cabinet installation
  • Patching, painting, and finish trim work

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong financial awareness and the ability to evaluate production costs
  • Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach to clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple departments
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Gmail; experience with Zoho CRM is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not required


Compensation:

  • Full-time, stable opportunity with an established company
  • Base salary starting at $100,000 - $140,000 per year, based on experience
  • Paid time off and benefits package
  • Monday through Friday schedule with a 7:00 a.m. jobsite start
  • Occasional weekend coverage when required, but not on a routine basis
