Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Reinsurance Accountant, you will:

1. Oversee all reinsurance accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports.
2. Review and analyze reinsurance contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
3. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement effective financial strategies.
4. Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, providing expert advice and recommendations.
5. Monitor and manage the company's reinsurance recoverable balances.
6. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
7. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the company's reinsurance operations.
8. Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Reinsurance Accountant position should have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in reinsurance accounting, preferably within the P&C industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of reinsurance contracts and related accounting standards.
4. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide effective solutions.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
6. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
