We connect you with verified openings from employers you can trust.Job Summary:Textron, a leader in aviation pioneering advancements in the field, is seeking a SPRINT Drives Build Engineer to manage drive system manufacturing activities, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met for the SPRINT X-plane Demonstrator project.Responsibilities:Serve as the primary SPRINT build team focal for drives system contentSupport drive system design and producibility effortsCoordinate drive system inputs to the program's Design Fabrication SpecificationCoordinate all logistics and specialty transportation required for offload executionCoordinate perishable and non-perishable tool design and acquisitionAuthor content for drives system build strategy and related programmatic documentation such as Quality Assurance Program Plan, Manufacturing Action Plan, Configuration Management Plan, etc.Develop and deploy effective programmatic metrics and supporting data to assess drives system manufacturing build statusIdentify, acquire, and deliver long lead materials to support SPRINT program scheduleManage offload supplier work packages to maintain part pedigree and ensure QA traceabilityQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology10 years of related experience in drives system production engineering, experimental build, development, and testingExperience managing drive system manufacturing content for internal and external manufacturing, including offload operationsEffective communication across multiple locations, organizational levels, and culturesAbility to evaluate manufacturing discrepancies and develop effective dispositionsStrong knowledge of software tools - 3DX, SAP, ENOVIA, Bell Experimental and Production Manufacturing Execution SystemsCreative and critical thinking skills for rapid execution in X-plane buildExcellent oral and written communication skillsSome travel ( Preferred:Advanced degrees or relevant experience with related degreesCompany:Textron Inc., founded in 1923, is a multi-industry company headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, with over 10,000 employees.
