Senior Quality Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for a position with a Leading Retail Services Company located in Plano, TX.

Pay Rate $150.00 $190.00ph

This role leads the development and evolution of test automation strategies, guiding teams in delivering high-quality software through advanced testing methodologies. You will architect robust test suites for large-scale features, enforce best practices in testability and reliability, and drive initiatives to integrate advanced monitoring and contract testing across services. In this role, you will mentor mid and junior level engineers, resolve complex testing challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders to align quality efforts with business goals, significantly reducing defects and manual efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Define and enforce the testing pyramid, coverage standards, and flakiness SLOs for a major vertical (mobile, backend, data, web portal)
• Architect and deliver org-wide testing platforms (contract-testing service, traffic-mirror system, mobile device cloud)
• Lead chaos, load, and failure-injection programs that protect customer-facing SLOs
• Surface test gaps from incidents and automatically back-fill missing coverage
• Partner with Principal engineers during the design phase to make systems testable by default
• Mentor 3-6 engineers (devs QEs) and lead QE hiring/interviewing

Requirements:

• 5 years shipping high-reliability test infrastructure at scale
• Track record of building testing platforms adopted by multiple teams
