Key responsibilities:
- Oversee comprehensive quality assurance processes from inception through completion, ensuring unparalleled standards for precision components.
- Develop advanced quality control frameworks and inspection procedures, providing technical guidance for the team.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Metrology, ensuring precision in measurement applications and steadfast adherence to traceability protocols.
- Spearhead complex root cause analyses and implement permanent solutions using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone.
- Leverage statistical process control and Minitab analytics to assess performance metrics, detect trends, and actively liaise with customers on quality concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is mandatory.
- Over 5 years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering, preferably within high-precision sectors like IATF 16949 or AS9100.
- Expertise in statistical process control, FMEA, control planning, and PPAP methodologies.
- Proficiency in metrology, emphasizing measurement standards for precision metal components.
- A leadership-oriented mindset, ready to oversee high-impact projects and ambitions to advance into quality management.
- Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cottage Grove or Madison, WI.
