Senior Quality Control Inspector/CMM Programmer

Summary of Position

Inspection of production manufacturing to ensure conformance to customer requirements. Visual and mechanical inspections, review of customer drawings, ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 requirements. Proficiency in the measuring process using MicroView, OGP, micrometers, drop indicators, CMM Zeiss (operation and programming) and Keyence (operation and programming).

Requirements

4 years of related experience in mechanical inspection, CMM experience is a plus.

Knowledge of quality control procedures, math, data analysis and statistical methods

Professional/Effective Communication (verbal, written and interpersonal)

Ability to analyze and identify problems, strong attention to detail

Continuous Improvement Mindset to enhance the quality of products/service and efficiency/effectiveness of the process

Strong Organization and Multi-tasking skills

Experience with ERP systems and Excel

Responsibilities

Perform inspections (1st piece, in-process, incoming and final inspections)

Inspectors will need computer skills to use custom ERP system, create documents in Excel and develop inspection programs using Micronite software

Reporting: prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), AS9002 First Article Inspection (FAI) and Defective Material Reports (DMR)

Return Material Authorization (RMA): maintain RMA log and issue RMAs to customers

Rejects: issue supplier rejects and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) reports

Material Review Board Process (MRB): conduct and follow corrective and preventive action, analyze and assess root cause / corrective action

Non-Conformance: report non-conformances/quality issues and resolve complaints
