Job Overview:
The Senior Software Developer will contribute to the firm's data modernization initiative within the Investments and Capital Markets division. This role involves developing and enhancing core features of Cohorting engines to source data from the Enterprise warehouse, supporting close-of-business activities, and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of outputs. The developer will also collaborate with team members to implement ETL capabilities, add quality control reports, and perform data profiling to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Refactor and modernize existing components of an ETL application to improve maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Perform end-to-end testing to verify accuracy across all layers and conduct parallel testing to ensure data integrity in the new system.
• Establish metrics and monitoring systems to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve defects, eliminate technical debt, and drive continuous improvements aligned with software engineering best practices.
• Write clean, robust, high-quality code supported by automated unit and integration tests with strong coverage.
• Coordinate with team members across different layers of the stack (data, services, APIs, and infrastructure) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations, and adoption of new technologies to improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and documentation, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative problem-solving and high-quality deliverables.
• Document findings and outcomes to build a knowledge base for future reference.

• Hands-on software development experience using Python programming.
• Proficiency in pandas and NumPy Python libraries.
• 2 to 3 years of experience using Git for source control in a team-based development environment.
• 2 to 3 years of experience with SQL and relational database development.
• 1 to 2 years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• 2 to 3 years of experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest) and implementing automated test coverage.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with team collaboration abilities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with familiarity in Agile development processes.

• Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience engaging with team members to gather requirements, align priorities, and drive delivery.
• Exposure to product and project management tools (e.g., JIRA) for planning, tracking, and execution.
• Relevant technical certifications.

• 5+ years of software development experience using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Git, unit testing, and database technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, or SQL Server.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Pay Range: $80-85/hr.
