Senior Property Accountant
Boston, MA | Full-Time | $90,000–$120,000

A growing commercial real estate firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage property-level accounting, support property management operations, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. This hands-on role reports to the CFO with potential for growth into an Accounting Manager position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile bank and escrow accounts, post journal entries, and maintain fixed asset records
  • Track commissions, deferred leasing, and complex accounting transactions
  • Support audits and year-end close processes
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, and monthly property reviews
  • Collaborate with property management and corporate teams
Qualifications
  • 5–10+ years in commercial real estate accounting, property-level experience required
  • Proficiency with MRI Software and fixed asset systems
  • Strong understanding of deferred leasing commissions, deferred financing fees, and complex journal entries
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
