They partner with investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, renewable energy developers, and industrial clients on high-voltage transmission, substation, grid modernization, and renewable interconnection projects throughout the United States.Job DescriptionManage the full lifecycle of transmission and substation projects from proposal through engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and project closeout.Lead projects involving 69kV-500kV transmission lines, substations, switchyards, renewable interconnections, battery energy storage (BESS), and utility infrastructure.Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.Serve as the primary point of contact for utility, municipal, renewable energy, and industrial clients.Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineers, designers, project controls, and field personnel.Monitor project financial performance, including revenue forecasting, earned value, profitability, and change order management.Coordinate with engineering managers, construction managers, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize schedule or budget impacts.Manage contract negotiations, scope modifications, and client deliverables.Conduct regular project reviews, status meetings, and executive reporting.Ensure compliance with company QA/QC procedures, client standards, OSHA requirements, and applicable industry codes.Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers while supporting career development.Support business development activities including proposals, client presentations, and strategic account growth.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
