    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in earthwork and shoring projects to lead complex, high-profile work from preconstruction through completion. This role will provide strategic oversight, mentor junior staff, and ensure successful delivery of projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, and financial performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage large-scale earthwork and shoring projects, including mass excavation, grading, and support of excavation systems
    • Oversee multiple projects and project teams simultaneously, providing leadership and direction to Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff
    • Develop and manage detailed project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
    • Drive preconstruction efforts including estimating support, value engineering, and risk analysis
    • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies
    • Oversee contract negotiations, change order management, and procurement strategies
    • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and support their professional development
    • Maintain and strengthen client relationships, contributing to repeat business and new opportunities

    Qualifications:

    • 8 12+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on earthwork and shoring
    • Proven experience managing complex excavation and shoring systems (e.g., sheet piling, soldier piles and lagging, tiebacks, secant/ slurry walls)
    • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, site development, and urban construction challenges
    • Demonstrated success managing large budgets and multiple concurrent projects
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to interpret civil, structural, and geotechnical drawings and specifications
    • Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with deep excavation and urban shoring in tight or highly regulated environments
    • Background working for a specialty contractor or large heavy civil firm
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    • OSHA certification or advanced safety training
