The client is a highly-respected retail contractor based out of Milwaukee, WI. This firm is known for their high levels of internal stability as they chase developer-driven projects, rather than brand-based builds. Currently sitting at $75M/Yr in revenue they are hiring for a senior project manager due simply to project demand
Description
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of retail construction projects, ensuring alignment with brand standards, scope, budget, and timeline.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to deliver compliant, high-quality retail spaces.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-control measures to protect profitability.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, proactively mitigating delays to meet store opening deadlines.
- Oversee permitting, inspections, and compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Manage procurement of materials, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing status updates, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth project closeout and handover.
Profile
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in the retail/light-commercial sector
- Track record of delivering projects valued at $500K+
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of preconstruction/familiarity with estimating
- Knowledge of relevant construction softwares
- Ability to run multiple projects at once
