Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Public Safety Technology Projects Location: Jefferson Building, 105 West Chesapeake Ave, Towson, MD 21204 (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week) Duration: 12-Month Contract Job Summary: Client seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate Public Safety technology initiatives, including Police, Fire, 911, and Corrections projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex, high-profile projects within the Public Safety domain and hold an active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Key Responsibilities: Manage assigned Public Safety (e.g. Police, Fire, 911, Corrections) technology projects, ensuring alignment with Client and OIT objectives. Oversee full project lifecycle—planning, execution, tracking, and delivery—within scope, budget, and timeline. Identify risks, issues, and critical paths, and recommend mitigation strategies. Prepare and deliver project documentation, reports, and executive-level presentations. Facilitate meetings, develop agendas, and ensure effective stakeholder communication. Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years of project management experience leading large, complex initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Active PMP certification (PMI). Hands-on experience with business process, software, and hardware implementation using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. Strong knowledge of PMI standards, SDLC, and project documentation practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word. Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint. Prior experience in government or public safety environments. Certification Requirement: Active Project, Program, Portfolio, or Agile Management certification from PMI.
