Senior Project Manager- Pharma Construction

Seeking a Lead Project Manager to lead complex pharmaceutical construction projects on campus while overseeing large-scale commercial, industrial, warehouse, and institutional developments. This role requires a seasoned construction professional with extensive ground-up experience, strong utility coordination expertise, and a deep understanding of MEP systems to successfully deliver technically challenging projects from preconstruction through completion.

Description

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of pharmaceutical construction projects across an active client campus environment.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including ground-up developments and complex interior fit-outs.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, procurement, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Direct subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead utility infrastructure coordination, site logistics planning, and campus-wide construction integration efforts.
• Manage complex MEP installations, commissioning activities, and quality assurance processes.
• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Monitor project financial performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, regulatory, and client-specific requirements.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field operations personnel.

Profile

A successful Lead Project Manager should have:

• 10-15+ years of construction project management experience with a strong background in ground-up construction.
• Proven success managing pharmaceutical, commercial, industrial, institutional, or highly technical construction projects.
• Extensive experience overseeing utility-intensive scopes including underground infrastructure, site utilities, and campus-wide utility coordination.
• Strong MEP background with the ability to manage complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and commissioning activities.
• Experience managing projects within active pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, or mission-critical environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
