Our client is a Design-Build General Contractor based in Ohio with a major data center project set to break ground soon. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager who is eager to grow and lead alongside an experienced team and leverage extensive company resources. Description

The Senior Project Manager Will Have:

  • Lead all on-site project management activities, including setup, schedule oversight, cost and quality control, safety, communications, change management, and project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and analyze contract documents, plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports, performing constructability reviews and value engineering.
  • Manage project communications, coordinate meetings, and proactively address issues with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, including daily, weekly, and monthly field updates and change order validation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring adherence to company, client, and project policies and safety programs.
  • Coordinate field inspection teams, materials testing, and documentation, maintaining project logs, as-built records, and inspection reports.
  • Facilitate project closeout, including punch lists, final reporting, and ensuring all project requirements are completed and documented.

Profile

The Ideal Senior Project Manager Will have:

  • 4-year engineering, construction management degree, or equivalent
  • 10 or more years experience as a Project Manager responsible for Profit and Loss of construction required in one or more of the following areas: Hyperscale Datacenters, Complex Industrial Projects, or Large Scale Vertical Construction
  • Must be able to apply effective management techniques to maximize project performance.
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
  • Must have previous experience managing construction projects on large, complex and on multiple projects, scheduling and maintaining financial control of the project.
