Job Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and oversee complex construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, managing resources, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as extensive experience in project management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
·Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
·Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to ensure successful delivery.
·Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
·Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
·Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and forecast financial projections.
·Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
·Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates on project progress.
·Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure continuous improvement.
·Promote a culture of safety and compliance on project sites.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
·Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
·Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
·Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects as an owner’s representative.
·Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and building codes.
·Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
·Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
·Direct experience delivering HCAI (formerly OSHPD) regulated healthcare construction projects, including HCAI plan review, permitting, and project close-out.
·Working knowledge of HCAI requirements and the inspection process, including California Building Code compliance for acute-care and other healthcare occupancies.
Candidate Differentiators
·Healthcare, life sciences, or complex occupied site project experience.
·AIA, CCM, or PE certification.
Working Conditions
·Flexible work environment with typical work schedule from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
·Ability to travel to various construction sites within the San Diego area.
·Ability to walk, stand, and navigate uneven terrain; climb ladders and stairs; and lift up to 25 pounds.
·Tolerance for working in various weather conditions.
