Position Overview

Imagine Development is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead and strengthen day-to-day operations across custom residential construction projects on the Big Island. This role is designed for a highly capable construction professional who can help take significant operational weight off the owner's plate by bringing structure, accountability, and follow-through to estimating, planning, scheduling, and project execution.

The ideal candidate is deeply experienced in custom residential construction, understands how to manage moving parts in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently oversee preconstruction and operational workflows with minimal oversight. This individual will play a key role in helping the company continue scaling while maintaining high standards of quality, communication, and organization.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with ownership, office staff, field teams, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors throughout all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational coordination across active projects
• Review detailed custom home plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Develop and manage schedules, project tracking, and two-week look-aheads
• Oversee preconstruction workflows, documentation, and change orders
• Support accountability systems, operational processes, and organizational structure
• Coordinate communication between office staff, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Work closely with ownership to execute priorities and improve operational efficiency
• Ensure projects move forward on schedule and within expectations
• Help maintain high standards of professionalism, organization, and client experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in custom residential construction project management or operations leadership
• Strong understanding of custom home construction and project execution
• Experience managing schedules, preconstruction, and field coordination
• Advanced Buildertrend experience required
• Ability to read and analyze detailed construction plans and specifications
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain follow-through
• High integrity, accountability, and professionalism
• Must be local to the Big Island or willing to relocate
• Experience working within the Hawaii construction markets strongly preferred

• Estimates, schedules, documentation, and project workflows are accurate, organized, and require minimal correction or oversight
