We Are Seeking

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Senior Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager reports to the CIP Project Supervisor. The primary duties of this position include:

  • Manages projects from inception through planning, scoping, design, construction, and post-construction;
  • Knowledge of standard municipal services or infrastructure in water and wastewater treatment processes, water distribution systems, wastewater collections systems, reclaimed water distribution systems, and stormwater;
  • This position is intended to fulfill duties for numerous water and wastewater treatment plant projects currently within the CIP program;
  • Prepares project updates to the CIP annual program update for assigned project area;
  • Provides communication of project related information with local and other government officials, management, staff, contractors and the public;
  • Supports right-of-way acquisition including ordering title reports, legal descriptions, appraisals and negotiations of fair market value with property owners and documentation of the process;
  • Developing design and construction projects scopes of work administering and participating in vendor selection processes;

About You

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Project Management
  • 5 years of Design or Construction Management
  • 3 years of Project/Contract Management
  • 1 year of Right-of-Way acquisition
  • 2 years of Municipal experience preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Licensing/Certifications:

  • Professional Engineers License or Architectural License and/or Project Management Certifications
  • Water or Wastewater Operators Certification preferred, but not required.
  • Current and Valid Arizona Drivers License.

HYBRID DESIGNATION:

This position has been identified as an eligible position for a Hybrid work agreement. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.
