Envestnet is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Service department. This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at either our Berwyn, PA or Raleigh, NC office location.

Job Summary: 

We are looking for a client-focused Senior Project Manager who can lead new and current clients through onboarding and other project work. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning and executing complex, multi-workstream projects, collaborating with internal partners, building positive relationships with our clients, providing mentorship and training to junior team members and be considered the “go to” for the Project Management department. A successful Senior Project Manager can synthesize information quickly, articulate creative solutions and can pivot quickly to ensure clients receive the best possible experience.  This is a client-facing role so the ability to foster and build client relationships is a must. To fully support our clients, you should speak their language, therefore a background in a registered investment advisory firm or larger financial services space is highly valued!

Job Responsibilities:

• Become proficient in all aspects of Envestnet | UMP’s onboarding process and product offerings to competently address client questions and concerns.  
  
• Capable of independently owning project delivery and directing a project team to execution with minimal oversight.
  
• Strive to make a wider impact on the division and organization by leading internal project efforts such as new program rollouts, new product rollouts and internal trainings.  Be able to develop workstreams related to new project types with minimal oversight and present these to the wider team for execution.
  
• Be a relationship builder: effectively build client relationships with clients of any caliber.  Balance client needs with Envestnet business requirements.
  
• Successfully manage multiple complex client projects from signing through completion onto the Envestnet platform(s). Identify and translate client needs into project timelines that effectively address potential risks.  Partner with and manage project resources across multiple departments to meet deadlines, document activity to ensure accurate records, and conduct Postmortem Reviews when appropriate. 
  
• Be comfortable presenting data related to high profile clients’ project activities to senior leaders within the organization when requested.
  
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders by preparing agendas, leading conversations, providing project updates and assigning follow up tasks to project participants. 
  
• Ability to take on projects with any degree of complexity and manage multiple tasks and workstreams efficiently. Demonstrate agility to quickly pivot between projects and prioritize various tasks in order to efficiently address all client issues/concerns/escalations. Excellent organizational skills are a must.
  
• Proactively identify project risks(s) and work with team members and other internal stakeholders to map out potential solutions.  Effectively deliver adverse news to external project stakeholders along with solutions including related benefits and/or downsides to help guide client to a decision.
  
• Top notch written and verbal communication with the ability to tailor communication to accommodate for differing audiences and levels of technical expertise.  High level of comfort communicating with C-Suite, both internally and externally.
  
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Managers; organize and conduct training(s) for new team members.  Be considered a Subject Matter Expert for the PM team and be able to address client escalations from Project Managers in the absence of management.
  
• Understand the competitive landscape in the market and be able to articulate Envestnet’s differentiating factors.
  
• Develop and expand knowledge of Envestnet’s proprietary platform (UMP) by participating in formal and informal training and partnering with other PMO and Envestnet department members.
  
• Proactively identify areas for process improvements and ways to function more efficiently as individuals and as a team and scale across multiple projects.  Lead efforts to implement improvements.
  
• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  
• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
  

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  
• Minimum of 7 years’ project management experience or equivalent client facing experience working in the financial services industry (RIA or BD space).
  
• Develop functional knowledge across the Envestnet | Tamarac platform as it relates to supporting our clients and internal project teams.
  
• Proven ability to proactively manage change, identify issues, and propose solutions.
  
• Demonstrated communication, leadership, problem solving skills and a strong sense of ownership is critical.
  
• Must be able to communicate with others in a concise, prescriptive, persuasive and professional manner.
  
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, set and meet deadlines, both for yourself as well as others
  
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  
• Must be flexible, well organized, and assertive to complete multiple tasks and meet the changing demands placed on his/her time.
  
• Must be capable of gathering information from various sources to assist in critical decision making using highly developed reasoning and good judgment.
  
• Must demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy and be able to work with a diverse workforce and a variety of personalities.
  
• Perform under minimal supervision and can work independently.
  
• Expert with Microsoft Suite of products
  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Understanding of the financial services industry; registered investment advisors, brokerage business, etc. strongly preferred.
  
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  
• Experience with Asana a plus
