Senior Project Architect / Designer

Position Overview

A nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Architect / Designer to lead complex projects across multiple sectors.

This role requires a licensed architect with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage projects from concept through construction administration. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary studio environment and demonstrates a strong commitment to design excellence and client service.




Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of project delivery, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Serve as the primary technical lead on projects, ensuring quality and consistency of documentation.
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and internal disciplines.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and staffing in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level staff.
  • Maintain client relationships and participate in client presentations and meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulatory requirements, and project standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Licensed Architect required.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and advanced construction documentation experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes and technical detailing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aviation, civic, higher education, or municipal project types.
  • LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience is a plus.
  • Experience on complex public-sector projects preferred.
