    Description Want to help protect millions of AWS customers from account takeover and make a direct multi-million-dollar impact to Amazon's bottom line? Come join the AWS Payments & Fraud Prevention team as the Senior Product Manager - External Services who will own our end-to-end account compromise detection, mitigation, and recovery strategy. We are seeking a product leader who will be the single-threaded owner for account compromise - delivering peace of mind to customers through proactive detection and rapid mitigation. You will drive real-time threat detection, AI-powered account recovery, and post-compromise remediation. The ideal candidate combines deep security domain knowledge with product management expertise and a proven track record of delivering products at scale. Key job responsibilities Detection & Prevention: Own the roadmap for compromise detection spanning sign-in anomaly detection, behavioral signals, API key exposure monitoring, and customer education. Partner with data science and engineering to improve signal quality, reduce false positives, and shrink time-to-detect for novel attack patterns. AI-Powered Recovery: Lead the strategy to use AI and automation to transform account recovery across all customer segments (individual developer, enterprise, SMB). Design flows that balance security rigor with speed, and explore agentic AI approaches to automate triage, verification, and remediation at scale. Integration & Ecosystem: Drive the integration roadmap across internal and external platforms to empower customers with a unified, actionable view of their security posture enabling them to quickly identify, understand, and respond to compromise threats across their AWS environment. Resource Cleanup & Remediation: Own post-compromise cleanup strategy, including automated identification and cleanup of unauthorized resources. Build self-service tooling that empowers customers to remediate quickly. Customer Engagement: Regularly engage with customers who have experienced compromise. Synthesize qualitative insights with quantitative signals (recovery time, re-compromise rates, support contacts) to continuously improve the product. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Identity, AWS Security, and external security experts. Influence without authority across engineering, science, and security teams. Represent the account compromise domain in executive-level reviews. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience - Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition throughout the product life cycle from concept to end of lifecycle - Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy - Acts as an owner, removing obstacles and doing what's necessary to solve problems and delight customers - Ability to navigate ambiguity independently and drive clarity where none exists - Experience using AI tools to accelerate product development, research, and decision-making Preferred Qualifications - Experience in cybersecurity, identity, or fraud prevention product management - Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML products that solve complex customer problems at scale - Experience with security, compute, and AI cloud services - Track record of influencing cross-functional roadmaps across engineering, science, and security teams Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
