Description Want to stop fraudsters and make a direct multi-million dollar impact to Amazon's bottom line? Come join the AWS Payments & Fraud Prevention team as a Senior Product Manager - Tech, where you will own the evolution of AWS's trust scoring mechanisms and real-time risk evaluation platform. We are seeking a product leader who will own the strategy and evolution of how AWS evaluates customer trust - defining what signals matter, how risk is scored, and how those scores translate into real-time decisions that protect AWS and its customers from fraud and abuse. You will drive the next generation of AWS's trust scoring mechanisms, expanding coverage, improving accuracy, and ensuring scores remain actionable as fraud patterns evolve. You will also define how real-time risk evaluation scales across AWS services, so that fraud prevention keeps pace with the growth of AI and emerging product surfaces. The ideal candidate brings deep experience building and evolving risk or trust scoring products, a strong instinct for translating ambiguous fraud signals into durable product mechanisms, and a track record of driving product strategy at scale. Key job responsibilities Trust Scoring Evolution: Own the product roadmap for AWS's next-generation trust scoring system. Define how customer risk is modeled across account lifecycle signals - registration behavior, payment history, usage patterns, organizational relationships, and network signals. Drive continuous improvement in score accuracy, coverage, and freshness to ensure enforcement decisions are precise and durable. Real-Time Risk Evaluation: Define how real-time risk signals are evaluated and acted upon across AWS services. Drive the strategy for expanding risk evaluation coverage to new product surfaces - including compute and AI services - ensuring that fraud and abuse are detected and contained before they generate significant impact. Partner with data science and engineering to improve signal quality, reduce latency, and increase the precision of enforcement recommendations. Compute & AI Abuse Detection: Build the risk evaluation capabilities needed to detect and contain abuse of AWS compute and AI resources. Define how usage and behavioral signals are evaluated against customer risk profiles to identify anomalous activity early. Partner with data science and engineering to improve detection precision and reduce time-to-enforce. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with AWS service teams, Identity, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Science to align on fraud prevention strategy and drive execution. Influence without authority across engineering, science, and product organizations. Represent trust scoring and risk evaluation in executive-level reviews. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience - 7+ years of full product life cycle experience - 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience - 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics - Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market - Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market) Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. About the Company

A

Amazon

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
