An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office: Please note that this is a hybrid role based in Boston, and will require you to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Who We Are

Wayfair's Customer Tech organization builds the experiences that help tens of millions of customers discover, evaluate, and confidently purchase the products they love. We're at an inflection point  moving from page-specific features toward durable, model-native systems that power the entire customer journey.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who thinks in systems, not surfaces. This is a high-impact role for a PM who can operate at the intersection of AI/ML, platform strategy, and customer experience, someone who thrives in ambiguity, shapes the durable roadmap, and raises the quality bar for everything we build.

What You’ll Do

Define Durable, Systems-Level Strategy

  • Develop a multi-quarter product vision that transcends any single page or surface — focused on the underlying systems that drive customer confidence and conversion across Wayfair's shopping experience.

  • Identify where model-native capabilities (AI/ML, personalization, ranking, dynamic content) can create durable, compounding value rather than point solutions.

  • Build a roadmap grounded in quantitative insight (A/B tests, funnel analytics, behavioral signals) and qualitative research  always anchoring to measurable customer and business outcomes.

Lead Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Research to move from vision to shipped product  maintaining high quality and on-time delivery.

  • Write rigorous PRDs, feature specs, and success metrics. Run A/B tests end-to-end and make sharp, data-grounded decisions.

  • Operate as a domain authority across Customer Tech, influencing leaders in Storefront, Merchandising, Pricing, Search, and Supplier Experience.

Drive Model-Native Product Development

  • Champion AI/ML-powered approaches to customer experience problems from personalization and ranking to dynamic UI generation and decision-support.

  • Maintain a strong technical POV on platform architecture, APIs, and data flows enabling you to make smart tradeoffs with engineering partners.

Raise the Bar for the Team

  • Bring exceptional written and verbal communication the ability to distill complexity and align diverse stakeholders at every org level.
  • Mentor and model excellent PM craft: clear thinking, crisp writing, principled prioritization, and rigorous follow-through.
  • Create clarity in ambiguous situations comfortable redefining scope or changing direction when new information warrants it.

      What You’ll Own

      • The experiences and systems that help customers understand products and feel confident in their purchase decisions — spanning the full journey from discovery to checkout
      • The product strategy and roadmap for a key area within Wayfair's customer-facing experience with a mandate to think beyond pages toward systems
      • Experimentation infrastructure and insights that continuously improve the customer decision-making journey.
      • Core metrics including conversion rate, add-to-cart, bounce rate, customer confidence indicators, and experience performance.
      • Cross-functional alignment across engineering, science, design, and business partners.

We Are a Match Because You Have

      • 7–10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record in consumer e-commerce, marketplace, or scaled B2C products.
      • Demonstrated success shipping systems-level or platform-adjacent products — not just features, but durable capabilities that compound over time.
      • Exceptional analytical skills: experience designing and analyzing A/B tests in high-volume environments, and translating data into clear product decisions.
      • Model-native product thinking: comfort with AI/ML-powered products, including working with data scientists to shape model requirements and evaluation.
      • Outstanding communication: you write clearly, speak with conviction, and can influence without authority across org levels.
      • Proven ability to operate in ambiguity — defining the right problem, not just solving the stated one.
      • Experience owning or influencing platform-level products
      • Familiarity with personalization, ranking, or recommendation systems in a consumer context.
      • Prior experience working across multiple surfaces or product areas simultaneously.
      • Comfort with technical discussions around front-end architecture, microservices, and data pipelines.
