    Job Summary

    The Senior Producer Compensation Associate is responsible for leading and executing high-level initiatives in Producer Compensation and Collections, integrating deep system expertise, financial analysis, and process strategy. This role is central to solving enterprise-impacting issues related to agent commissions and debt recovery, while also supporting department leadership with forecasting, insights, and advanced problem-solving. The position plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity, building cross-functional relationships, developing scalable improvements to compensation and collections processes, and completing tasks assigned by management.


    Essential Responsibilities

    • Lead the resolution of the organization's most complex producer compensation and collections issues, utilizing systems including Microsoft Access, SSRS, Excel, and other business applications.
    • Perform advanced root cause analysis to identify systemic issues, recommend corrective actions, and improve overall compensation and collections processes.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to department leadership by providing recommendations related to producer compensation policies, debt recovery trends, and operational improvements.
    • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on automation, process optimization, compliance, reporting enhancements, and error reduction.
    • Manage high-profile escalations involving complex commission disputes, significant collection balances, legal matters, and strategic agency relationships while balancing financial accuracy and business relationships.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, metrics, and executive summaries that support forecasting, operational planning, and leadership decision-making.
    • Collaborate with Information Technology, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to develop and implement system enhancements, business rules, and process improvements.
    • Serve as a technical and functional subject matter expert for producer compensation systems, reporting tools, and collections processes.
    • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to Producer Compensation Associates, serving as the primary escalation point for complex case resolution.
    • Support annual 1099 reporting, audits, regulatory requests, and other financial reporting requirements.
    • Evaluate departmental workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and customer service.
    • Represent the Producer Compensation & Collections department in cross-functional meetings, strategic initiatives, and enterprise projects.
    • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Advanced knowledge of producer compensation and collections processes.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business problems.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
    • Experience utilizing reporting and database tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Access, or similar systems.
    • Strong understanding of financial reconciliation, auditing, and reporting principles.
    • Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and contractual agreements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to various audiences.
    • Demonstrated project management and process improvement capabilities.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and influence positive business outcomes.
    • High attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.

    Education & Experience

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience analyzing financial data and resolving complex business issues.
