Responsibilities:
+ Lead all political interviews and coverage for _Prime_ , along with select highprofile interviews of cultural and social significance.
+ Work closely with the _Prime_ anchor and Executive Producer on marquee editorial initiatives and special projects.
+ Collaborate across ABC News to develop largescale stories with longform and crossplatform potential.
+ Often oversees _Prime_ anchor’s taped pieces, managing editorial development and execution.
+ Partner with _Prime_ producers to shape content across the full broadcast.
+ Write and edit scripts and interview material for both live television and taped segments.
+ Perform seniorlevel control room duties, including leading the newscast when needed.
+ Play a critical control room role during major event coverage and breaking news nights.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years experience producing live television news and highprofile interviews.
+ Exceptional writing skills for both live broadcast and taped content.
+ Strong editorial judgment and the ability to lead under deadline pressure.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in live TV production and control room operations.
+ Deep knowledge of politics and current events.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Broad understanding of pop culture, entertainment, and social media, reflecting the range of interviews and stories featured on _Prime_ .
+ Experience collaborating across teams and divisions on largescale editorial projects.
+ Ability to identify content with longform storytelling potential.
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $194,300 to $260,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
