Job Summary:

ICANN is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Analyst. This position is responsible for providing relevant reporting, business analysis and performance analytics to management and Board for timely decision making.

This position has a significant amount of interaction with internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent business advisory, presentation and collaborative and team oriented communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

The Senior Planning Analyst position is responsible for analysis, reporting and execution on multiple projects and tasks pertaining to strategic and operational planning and performance measurement as follows:

Strategic Planning

  • Participate in the design of an annual strategic planning process
  • Assist in facilitating trend sessions and cross-functional meetings
  • Prepare meeting materials and presentations
  • Coordinate cross functional efforts
  • Coordinate the on-going monitoring of the evolution of trends
  • Gather, organize, synthesize and document trend information and strategy decisions

Operational and Financial Planning

  • Participate in the development of the Five year and 1-year Operating plan
  • Contribute to the production of bylaw-mandated
  • Prepare and design materials for Operating Plan
  • Participate in the review and discussion of the Operating Plans
  • Prepare documents and communication plans
  • Compile and analyzes relevant data from cross-functional teams
  • Support creating and maintaining detailed operational and financial models
  • Prepare and coordinate planning presentations, narratives and supporting documents for internal and external publication

Performance Measurement and Reporting

  • Prepare strategic and operational analysis and executive summary reports
  • Contribute to the performance measurement and reporting process
  • Track, analyze and report on progress
  • Analyze key performance measurements and report out on the status

Board and Committee support activities

  • Prepare materials for presentations for Board
  • Updating the Committee workplans
  • Prepare committee reports and analysis

Additional Duties

  • Foster improvements to the internal and external reporting framework by performing ongoing analysis of processes and providing recommended solutions for business processes
  • Prepare, analyze and support ad-hoc reporting needs as requested from internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Experience with strategic, operational or financial planning
  • Experience with project management
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work with highly diverse and global teams
  • High level of proficiency in data analysis and reporting

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience
  • Experience at a large or mid size company
  • Experience with process improvement design, or process documentation, and process implementation

Language

  • Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee regularly is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • International travel may be required ICANN meetings and events
  • An international work environment may require availability at times outside normal business hours, seven days per week.
