Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an experienced **Senior Piping Designer** to support mine tailings and mine facilities projects as part of the Mining Division in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in plant design, with expertise in both 2D and 3D environments, and demonstrate advanced proficiency with Plant 3D or equivalent software. This role requires the ability to independently execute and oversee complex design assignments, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with project and industry standards and is expected to provide the following responsibilities: **Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to.** + Develop piping and equipment models, isometrics, and detailed engineering drawings such as but not limited to, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process and flow diagrams (PFD), piping isometrics, plot plans, general arrangements, and detailed plans and sections. + Setting up, maintaining, and optimizing Plant 3D project environments in accordance with company and client standards. + Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with industry codes and project standards. + Independently execute complex design assignments with minimal supervision, including the ability to review and resolve discrepancies in supplier documents and ensure compliance with codes and standards and project standards. + Planning, scheduling, and monitoring design tasks to meet project budgets and timelines, cost estimating methods, and project change control processes. + Provide technical guidance and review work completed by other design and drafting personnel. + Work with engineers to create technical drawings from sketches and concepts using Plant 3D and other CAD tools. + Provide guiding directions and ultimate oversight of 3D piping design engagements. + Implement improvements in design methodologies and CAD workflows. + Ensure required deliverables from the technical team meet project requirements on time and within budget. + Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment by working during normal business operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. + Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. + Collaborate with colleagues spread among multiple satellite office locations. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + BA/ BS degree and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Valid U.S. Driver’s License. **Preferred Qualifications** + Specialized CAD certifications (e.g., CAD 2D Basic, CAD 3D Advanced, CAD Custom). **Additional Information** + No sponsorship will be offered for this role now or in the future + No relocation will be offered for this role.
