Position Requirements .

The consultant will be responsible for providing senior-level functional and reporting support for a PeopleSoft Financials environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain reports using PeopleSoft reporting tools, including:
    • Query Manager / Query Viewer
    • BI Publisher (XML Publisher)
    • PS Query expressions and complex joins
  • Develop, modify, and maintain reports using SAP Business Objects.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts and business users to gather reporting requirements, validate business logic, and ensure accurate data extraction from PeopleSoft tables and views.
  • Create and maintain BI Publisher report templates, layouts, and bursting configurations.
  • Analyze PeopleSoft Financials data structures, including table relationships, keys, and effective-dating logic.
  • Optimize report performance through query tuning, indexing recommendations, and runtime improvements.
  • Support reporting during upgrades, patches, and system releases, including impact analysis, remediation, and migration activities.
  • Ensure reports comply with data security requirements, including row-level security, role-based access, and sensitive data protection.
  • Produce technical documentation including:
    • Report inventories
    • Functional and technical design documents
    • Data dictionaries
    • Test plans
    • Run books
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing to validate reporting accuracy.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with support teams on integrations, data corrections, audit reporting, and cross-functional reporting needs.
  • Design, implement, support, and maintain appropriate information security measures.
  • Participate in enhancement projects, module implementations, and application improvements.
  • Support recurring business processes including fiscal year-end, calendar year-end, legislative updates, regulatory changes, and third-party integrations.
  • Create and review Functional Design Documents (FDDs).
  • Perform functional configuration using delivered PeopleSoft features such as:
    • Page and Field Configurator
    • Drop Zones
    • Event Mapping
    • Page Composer
  • Provide advanced Level 2 production support including troubleshooting, ticket resolution, documentation, and basic configuration.
  • Ensure digital products and reports comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while following established processes and procedures.
  • Ensure data accuracy, application security, system performance, and policy compliance.
  • Follow ITIL best practices for IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM).
  • Participate in Major Incident Management activities.
  • Support Disaster Recovery testing and system upgrade validation.
  • Deliver presentations to business stakeholders and user groups.
  • Participate in SOC-1 audit activities, ensuring security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy controls are maintained.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 reporting.
  • 8+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials reporting tools, including Query Manager, BI Publisher, and SAP Business Objects.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting financial reporting in enterprise ERP environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials table relationships, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), effective-dating, and complex multi-row logic.
  • Experience supporting cross-module reporting involving General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing (PO), Asset Management (AM), Inventory (IN), Travel & Expense (T&E), Project Costing (PC), and related modules.
  • Experience with data integration, data quality, SDLC methodologies, and reporting lifecycle management.
  • Experience designing, executing, and documenting UAT and regression testing for reporting enhancements, upgrades, and patch deployments.
  • Experience developing WCAG 2.1-compliant reports and documentation.
  • Experience interpreting contractual or business requirements and ensuring vendor compliance.
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects report development.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-agency or enterprise ERP implementations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and practices, including ITSM and IT Asset Management (ITAM).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting fiscal year-end processing, organizational changes, and legislative or regulatory updates.
  • Experience providing customer-facing support during enterprise ERP implementations, rollouts, or expansion projects.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise production environments with multiple business units or organizational entities.
