Core duties and responsibilities include:
• Process complex payroll transactions, salary adjustments, benefits, and leave calculations
• Research and resolve escalated payroll issues and compliance questions
• Partner with HR on payroll changes related to leaves, terminations, and employee status updates
• Process garnishments, levies, termination checks, and payroll reconciliations
• Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Design and produce payroll, salary, and benefit reports for management and regulatory agencies
• Assist with implementing payroll process improvements and system updates
• Prepare GL reconciliations and maintain payroll records and documentation
Required skills and qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred
• 5+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong knowledge of multi-state and federal wage & hour laws
• Experience with payroll systems, reporting, and reconciliations
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and accuracy
Compensation:
The Hourly range for this position is from $33 to $38/hr, depending on experience.
