Job Title: Senior Packaging Engineer

Overview
Leading food manufacturing and marketing company looking for an experienced Senior Packaging Engineer. Ideal candidates should have aBachelor's degree in Packaging or related field with at least 5 years of Package Engineering experience including a solid understanding of product commercialization from design to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support the client's Pet Packaging team through a fully integrated cross-functional collaboration, focusing on innovation, cost savings, and project delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with key business and platform partners to facilitate trials, new product launches, and other initiatives.
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop margin improvements and technical innovations.
  • Manage supplier experiments, trials, and analyses to validate and advance packaging technical opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external networks to understand customer needs and influence initiatives.
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure project success, demonstrating a results-oriented approach.
  • Document work effectively, including technical plans, specifications, experimental reports, and financial analyses.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to drive innovation and margin improvements.
  • Collaborate and influence both internal teams and external partners.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging or related field
  • 5 years of Package Engineering experience
  • Solid understanding of product commercialization from design to manufacturing
  • Experience applying process engineering solutions to consumer packaged goods
  • Ability creating and generating technical packaging drawings
  • Experience working on team projects at corporate and plant levels, with vendors and contractors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for face-to-face interactions
  • Self-directed and motivated with good time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint, TOPS
  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Packaging development experience
  • Experience within the manufacturing, food, or related industries
  • Experience using Interspec or similar Product Lifecycle Management system
  • Experience in pet food manufacturing
