IDR is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves managing and optimizing enterprise Oracle database environments across a hybrid cloud landscape, including OCI, AWS, and on-premises systems. The position is crucial for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical databases supporting core business applications.

Position Overview for the Senior Oracle Database Administrator

  • Manage, monitor, and support Oracle database environments (11g through 23c) across OCI, AWS, and on-prem platforms.
  • Administer multi-tenant architectures, RAC, and Data Guard configurations to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Lead cloud migration, modernization initiatives, and hybrid connectivity strategies.
  • Monitor performance proactively using industry-standard tools and tune databases for optimal operation.
  • Implement backup, recovery, security, and compliance strategies to safeguard enterprise data.

Requirements for the Senior Oracle Database Administrator:

  • Extensive hands-on experience supporting enterprise Oracle databases with strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle database concepts including process, memory, storage, ASM, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience managing Oracle databases in OCI and AWS environments, including Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud, and RDS Oracle.
  • Proven ability to lead cloud migration projects and implement automation using Shell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, high availability, security, and compliance best practices.
