Job Title: Senior .NET Architect

Location: Albany, NY

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Architect to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale applications in a complex, mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Microsoft .NET technology stack, enterprise application architecture, modern web development frameworks, and system modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable, multi-tier enterprise applications.
  • Architect solutions using Object-Oriented (OO) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
  • Lead modernization efforts by converting legacy applications into modern .NET and .NET Core MVC applications.
  • Develop secure and scalable web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Core MVC.
  • Design, develop, and consume RESTful and legacy web services using Web API, WCF, and ASMX.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
  • Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage applications hosted on Microsoft IIS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and system architecture.
  • Ensure application performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and best practice implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience designing and developing highly available, scalable multi-tier enterprise applications using Object-Oriented or Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience developing applications using C#, .NET Framework (3.0 or higher), and/or .NET Core.
  • Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience developing and supporting ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core MVC applications.
  • Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience modernizing legacy applications developed in MS Access, Visual Basic, and Windows Forms into modern .NET applications.
  • Minimum 6 years (72 months) of experience designing and consuming RESTful and non-RESTful Web Services using ASMX, WCF, and Web API.
  • Minimum 3 years (36 months) of front-end development experience using React, Angular, Bootstrap, or similar technologies.
  • Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience writing advanced SQL, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and complex queries in Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Minimum 4 years (48 months) of experience deploying and managing .NET applications in Microsoft IIS.
  • Minimum 4 years (48 months) of experience developing and integrating enterprise systems supporting criminal justice, public safety, emergency response, or critical infrastructure environments.
