The Senior Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment will own the design, development, and validation of rotating machinery for aerospace power generation systems. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for electric motors, generators, and associated rotating equipment used in aircraft electrical power systems-helping deliver safe, reliable, and efficient products for our customers. You will lead new mechanical designs, develop and improve design practices, and provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers, while collaborating across disciplines to bring advanced electrical power solutions to life.
GE Aerospace EPISCenter in Dayton, OH is the headquarters for Aviation Power Engineering. Here, you will apply your engineering expertise to meaningful, cutting-edge programs, including hybrid-electric aircraft, electrification of next-generation military platforms, advanced SiC-based power electronics technologies, and more. If you enjoy hands-on engineering, you'll also have access to a 155,000 sq ft world-class laboratory that includes 6 high-power test cells totaling 15 MW, EMI test chamber, electronics and rapid-build prototype labs, Real-time simulator lab with the latest test and development equipment. You will be part of a team that designs, tests, and delivers state-of-the-art electrical power systems that enable the future of flight.
