As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, Product Development, you will lead the design and development of innovative electromechanical medical products used in high impact clinical applications. You will own product development activities end‑to‑end, collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Description
Reporting directly into the Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Lead mechanical design and development of disposable and durable medical device components
- Collaborate with clinical, quality, manufacturing, and external partners to translate concepts into production ready designs
- Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications using SolidWorks
- Drive prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements
- Perform detailed engineering analyses including tolerance analysis, risk assessments, DOE, and statistical evaluations
- Develop and release documentation in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards
- Contribute to verification and validation activities, including protocol development, test execution, and reporting
- Maintain complete and accurate design history documentation
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and external development partners
Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of hands‑on product development experience in a regulated environment
- Strong background in designing medical devices, ideally Class II or Class III products
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks and mechanical design best practices
- Experience with high volume disposables and/or electromechanical systems
- Working knowledge of verification & validation processes and clinical or lab testing
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast paced, development focused environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to mentor others and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
