A leading engineering and design firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Mission Critical team. This group supports the design and delivery of complex, high-performance facilities for major technology and telecommunications clients, including data centers and other critical infrastructure environments.This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, contributing to projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and developing innovative solutions for operationally sensitive facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop and deliver mechanical design solutions across all project phasesInterface directly with clients, owners, and contractors to support project executionDesign air-side HVAC systems , including DX systems, chilled water AHUs, ductwork, and computer room air handling unitsDesign water-side systems , including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and piping networksPerform HVAC load calculations and system sizingDevelop project phasing plans, including temporary systems to maintain uptime in live environmentsConduct facility assessments, engineering studies, and troubleshooting activitiesMentor and support junior engineering staffQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one U.S. stateMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in data center or mission critical mechanical designExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BIM360 preferredStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentAdditional RequirementsAbility to perform site walks in active facilities, including navigating mechanical rooms, rooftops, ladders, and equipment areasWillingness and ability to travel to job sites and client locations as needed, including occasional overnight travel#J-18808-Ljbffr
