No sponsorship is available for this position.Role OverviewAs a senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work across a wide range of mechanical design knowledge areas with a primary focus on HVAC design of chemical, power, and industrial facilities. You will collaborate with engineers of various experience levels, sharing knowledge to develop innovative, technically sound designs that deliver high quality outcomes.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPerform design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline. Most of the work will be related to heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); however, the candidate should also expect work in industrial piping, plumbing, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and fire protection.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects.Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle.Create design drawings using Revit 3D design software.Assess and design building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and maintaining indoor air quality.Utilize building modeling software to determine envelope heat gains/losses for HVAC equipment sizing.Specify mechanical equipment.Design plumbing and building utility piping systems.Summarize engineering results in written reports and/or presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality.Visit job sites as required for projects involving upfit of existing systems.
