Senior Mechanical Engineer | Denver, COIMEG is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Denver, CO, to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex projects. You'll work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes in Denver, Colorado. You'll also support delivery on larger and high complexity projects, including budget accountability, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet project goals and client expectations.Principal ResponsibilitiesLead design efforts for the analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systemsUtilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standardsPerform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reportsInteract with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; build and maintain client relationships through professional communicationProvide in‑process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence; implement IMEG quality control processesProvide technical training and mentoringProvide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staffStay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering; contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEGPrioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work; identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with mechanical systemsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals; participate in project interviews and project presentationsRequired Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industryAdvanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsAdvanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systemsStrong training, mentoring and leadership skillsAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem‑solving skillsEagerness to adapt to new challengesProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.Locations available: Denver, COState of Colorado Salary Range: $112,000 - $170,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
