The role includes direct client interaction, mentoring of junior staff, and collaboration with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology disciplines.Projects typically include complex commercial, industrial, aviation, mission‑critical, and infrastructure facilities.Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead for mechanical engineering design on complex building projectsLead the design of HVAC systems, including central plant systems and equipment selectionDesign and coordinate plumbing, fire protection, and specialized fire suppression systems (including AFFF and dry chemical where applicable)Apply expert knowledge of local, state, and national building codes, including mechanical, plumbing, fire, fuel gas, and life‑safety regulationsCoordinate design efforts across disciplines to ensure integrated and constructible solutionsDelegate and oversee work performed by project engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD staffMentor and develop junior mechanical engineers through training and technical guidanceAct as a trusted technical resource for project teams and clientsSupport projects through all phases, including construction administration and field coordinationParticipate in client meetings and technical presentations as neededQualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution8–15 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering design for complex buildingsActive Professionalli>Ability and willingness to obtain licensure in multiple U.S. statesDemonstrated experience leading engineering efforts through all phases of project deliveryStrong communication skills and comfort working directly with clientsAbility to travel occasionally as required by project needsAuthorization to work in the United StatesAbility to meet client‑specific background, security, or compliance requirementsWhy This Firm?
